Hey, it's fall again

It is going to snow six inches tomorrow night. 60% of our leaves have fallen. A seventeen year old alleged child murderer turned himself in today. I have a pro-pot initiative sign in the yard. I wanted to put an Obama sign up but could never get one from the haphazard Democratic headquarters nearby and so gave up. Watching a lot of good tv and some awful tv too.  I'm reading a scary noir novel from the 1960s that's a better fit for the mood. It's called The Expendable Man. The first two chapters are about a doctor who picks up an unsavory teenage hitchhiker. You just know things are not going to go well. Working on some projects for people and spending a lot of quiet time in the house with the cat. It's hard to remember to type in full sentences after spending a lot of time on Twitter. What's happening at your house?

I am working on a cross stitching a quilt for my new granddaughter arriving in March. My other two grandchildren were not babies when I got them, this will be the first baby and I cannot wait.

Sheila, congratulations. When you say cross stitch, does that mean you're stitching pieces together, or the whole quilt has a design stitched onto it? (I know nothing about this!)

The design is on the quilt, then you cross stitch it. It is a kit you buy, Janlynn I believe. I have done two other quilts like this,, usually they take me about 18 months to do. But I am determined to get this one done in time for the baby. I am not a TV watcher, but I have to listen to something while I do this. So, we are netflixing our way thru Breaking Bad, although tonight it was two episodes of a David Attenborough nature series. My mother made my son a bambi quilt and so I thought to make his daughter one too. Now if I can only find his quilt.

That's a cute design. What a thoughtful gift. I love Breaking Bad even if it always gives me a stomach ache when I watch it.

Finally . . . some quiet at my house. The weather was in the 90s until about 2 weeks ago and now it is perfectly Fall-like. Cool, bright days. Big clouds. Lovely.

Need to put up the Halloween decorations.

No Halloween extravaganza for me this year, as I am away from home till after the 31st. First year without my haunted front porch for the kiddies. They will think the witch died. :)
Other than that, I am having a wonderful time watching my darling grandson 2 days a week. I miss him the days I don't have him. He is wonderful
