Raising Hope

have any of you watched this show?  it is a new show on tuesday nights after Glee.
cloris leachman plays Maw maw. she is hilarious and looks great for 84. she ends up running around without her top on or in her bra in almost every episode. i know that might sound a little strange, but it is funny. the family is very dysfunctional  but it always ends up with a little lesson and shows how much they love each other.

I think the only comedies I watch are Modern Family, Community, The Office, and 30 Rock. Office and 30R are not as good as they used to be. I know you all didn't like Parks & Recreation, but it got very good in its second season. And Community is pure fun.

Tree,
I think The Office has, unfortunately, jumped the shark. Maybe Carell is right about leaving?

I still love 30 Rock.

And I think the Middle is hilarious---not since Roseanne has a middle class family been portrayed with so much fun

In other tv news, AMC has cancelled its excellent "Rubicon." I guess America was too dumb to be able to keep up with this excellent suspense/spy thriller.

Emma, I will have to rent The Middle and watch it marathon style. I think I resisted because of Patricia Heaton's politics. I know, that's bad, but it bugs me when I see her on the screen knowing that she hates everything I like. Yet she's a good actress. So I will give it a chance. I realize how petty this sounds.

Verb, at least we still have Breaking Bad. Were you as totally sick to your stomach at the last scene with Jesse and Gale?

I totally agree--I hate her politics. The show she did right after Everyone Loves Raymond--with Kelsey Grammer sucked, so I didn't watched it past the first show. But this show is wonderful. Pay attention to daughter Sue--the girl who plays her is wonderful.

I love Cloris Leachman. I don't watch any of these shows. The only comedy I've watched lately was "Eastbound and Down" and that was okay. I guess the closest thing to a comedy that I watch on a regular basis is "Chelsea Lately" which always makes me laugh out loud, repeatedly.
