What's your favorite book to draw inspiration from?

emma, it really depends on what i want to be inspired by. the book "three cups of tea" renewed my faith in humanity. but if i wanted inspiration in cooking, it's not a good choice.

well, if your faith in humanity is restored, shouldn't that improve your cooking?

When I was a little girl, I loved Pollyanna. I suppose on some level, I still admire that relentless optimism. I mean, why not be optimistic?

kathryn,

my guy has a lot of faith in humanity but he can't cook anything. one time he made kraft mac and cheese and it was so nasty. the noodles were crunchy and it was as watery as soup. Half of it was burnt to the bottom of the pan too. So i don't know if restoring faith in humanity will improve cooking if one is a bad cook to begin with. My guy thanks me often for knowing how to cook and being willing to do it several times a week.

my wv is packing, it made me laugh

Interesting question . . . I'd have to say, predictably, To Kill a Mockingbird. Shows the best and worst in humans.

because if you are relentlessly optimistic you are never pleasantly surpriised
