I really feel for you--really, and that's not just sentiment. The first of the three winters we spent in our Illinois/Wisconsin border town was just like this one--record cold, record preciptitation. My babies and I (they were 2 and 0 that winter) didn't leave the house more than once a week, if that, for months and months. I was crazy. Literally. I needed serious psychiatric help, between the PPD, the SAD and the downright loneliness of being in a new place and not having one friend to my name. It's just nothing but a miracle the babies and I didn't end up as some horrible, tragic headline news story. This stuff is TOUGH to deal with, so please do everything you can to care for your mental and emotional health.
How about a full spectrum light? Seriously--it might help. Or maybe a trip to Tahiti...
