Digging through my hard drive and found this cranberry jello salad from my dear friend orbweaver. I am definitely making this this season. You wouldn't believe all the stuff I've saved through the years.

how was your trip?
Hallie makes something very similar, only she calls it "Cranberry Hootenanny," "Cranberry Extravaganza" or "Cranberry Explosion," and so forth, depending on her frame of mind.
I'm generally not big on congealed salads, but that stuff is darned good!
Emma, it was a lot of fun. Very relaxing and the island is so diverse in terms of lava vs. rainforest. And the hotel was pretty too. I'll throw some photos up on my blog. (My long-neglected blog...)
Verb, that salad is really good. I was happy to have found it.
the word "congealed" makes me gag a little
Oh I am so glad you found it and made it. That is my all time favorite salad, so tart and delicious
