I don't get many thanks, and I'm okay with that. I get a lot of whining, cussing, shouting, moaning and general complaining, but I don't get a lot of "thank yous." Yesterday a student gave me a hand-made thank you card, and it made my week. It was a folded sheet of notebook paper with a badly spelled sentiment giving thanks for tutoring a student after school. He said something about being grateful for me giving him time over my baby. It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever made for me.

That's a really nice thing to get from a student, especially around this time of year. We all need to be appreciated for the things we do, I'm glad someone let you know you made a difference :)
