Purpose: To talk about what old broards talk about.

i find it
laughable that people are complaining that pres.obama is trying to do too much at once. i guess everyone is used to someone not doing anything for 8 years. yes, i guess that would be a shock.
He's only been in office for 50 days, trying to clean up the mess left behind by the last occupant. Frankly, I think he's on the right track. It took 8 years for Bush to screw us all and the sooner Obama gets to work on the "unscrewing" the happier I'll be.
The rule of thumb is that it takes one month per year to recover from a relationship; so, since we suffered through GWB for 8 years, I give Obama 8 months to help us recover.
I laughed when I saw on AOL a "Rate the President's first 50 days" survey 50 days is barely enough time for a pimple to disappear--let alone to negate the 2920 days of Dubya's doings
Isn't it hi-larious that Bush had 8 years to mess up our country and yet now the nay-sayers expect Obama to fix it in less than two months? That's just impossible, give me a break. The illogical thinking by many Americans is what is getting us into so much trouble in the first place.
The notion that "trying to do too much at one time" is bad was something we all learned at someone's knee.
But Pres. Obama does have a glorious advantage that the Clintons didn't have, a genuine crisis of which to take advantage. So if anyone is ever going to get away with it, it'll be Pres. Obama.
i was never told trying to do too much is a bad thing. that is bull shit. mothers do it every damn day. doing nothing and watching the country slide into the shithole is what was bad. the day those gas prices starting rising out of control is the day bushwacker should have done something. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that was going to grind us all to halt. the price of gas put businesses out of business, stopped people from vacationing and spending any extra money cause they had to keep the cash to put gas in the car to get to work. bert, you better hope he gets away with it, or we are all screwed.

It takes more than 50 days to straighten out eight years of screw-up. Carry on, Mr. Obama.
