No it's not just you. 2009 was supposed to be much better year for everyone, but so far, it does suck the big one.
And just to prove it, our NEW water heater had faulty thermostats at least and they were replaced this morning with the possibility that the elements are also bad. See what I mean?
Good news: I found a web site with easy dinner ideas. Last night, it was chicken breast cooked with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and a sherry / chicken broth sauce. Fairly low fat, full of flavor. Tonight: Mediterranean pasta with turkey sausage and feta cheese. Things are looking up.

It's a bad year for the world's economies . . why should we broards fare any better?
Let a smile be your umbrella! That I'm aware, all of you are enjoying good health. If you've got that, the rest is just window dressing.
we all have our crosses to bear. but try to look for the silver lining. it is all we got.
p.s. and of course we have each other, which i consider a blessing.
I'm having a pretty good year, I think.
because we are lovely Emma that's why
oops, Meme. I forgot about that.
You're right, of course

The plumber is still working on the hot water heater since we didn't have enough hot water this morning.
Three days and counting until permanent hot water for showers!
Could the new hot water heater be a lemon and should you demand a new one? Or ask nicely?
PS--Made the med pasta tonight, used whole wheat penne--should have used spaghetti or a more delicate shape, but the sauce was delicious.
I agree. 2009 SUCKS so far. It's only March and man . . . brutal.
