Tomato Plants

So . . . how long do tomato plants keep going? My plants have as many new tomatoes on them right now as they've had all Summer. I figure that the season is probably a little longer in the SF Bay Area because we won't actually start having any sort of cold weather that might affect them until November but . . . will they just keep going forever? Or do they die at some point? Go dormant? When do I pull the plug? Help!!!

my tomato plants are frozen as of last night. are yours getting scraggly looking and are the leaves turning yellow? if not, just keep picking till you can't anymore.

what Spidey said. If you can't stand them anymore, just yank them out of the ground and throw them in your compost pile (you ARE composting aren't you??)
Just make sure your pile "cooks" and gets hot enough . . if it doesn't scores of tomato plants will sprout up
