Twitter
I joined Twitter and am following people like Joan Rivers, Rachel Maddow, Al Gore and Top Chef Kevin. My bio is "Do your tweets still count if you have no followers?"
I have never Twittered and don't Facebook. But I have imagined such equal places--a widening Gracebook or attractive Lacebook--where others of ample sized mindset could dream and lie together but would never co-join. Sometime ago, I found myself adjourned to this corner, one of infinite suggestiveness but little substance. It is, perhaps, where Salinger might have chosen to go (as if choice ever matters), and if so, was content to never leave. Paralyzed by the least potential, looping back repeatedly to the start or finish of a story, sometime in a word, he literally sentenced himself to an early but relentless retirement.
Sometimes the only company I have during the day is on twitter. I've made some friends (one who lives just down the street) and follow a lot of interesting people. Facebook, as boring as it sometimes can be, has reconnected me with a bunch of people on my dad's side of the family, old high school friends, and of course, my girls. I am more careful about what I post on FB because such a variety of people with their various opinions are there, but it's a connection.
I don't twitter.never been there. I poked around on facebook. Catz Pawz...or something like that. Been a while since I was on. I don't blog it nor requested friends. Just looked around a bit.
I like that you can have a quick, real-time conversation on twitter. Kind of like the shelf, in a sense. It doesn't have to be the huge time suck that it's reported to have.

Not on Twitter. Facebook is almost to much to keep up with.
Not only don't I Twitter, I have never one time even looked at Facebook.
I think I might be a Luddite.
Seriously, I already waste too much time fucking around with the internet. I just don't want to add any more addiction to my life.
I'm just grateful you people still talk to me. You're my only contacts in the virtual world!

The only twittering I am interested in is that of the birds in the back yard.
