i would do both. They seem to be okay, but poor dears must be in a constant state of frustration because they NEED to play, but attempting to play makes them fall over. Moreover, i wonder if their owner constantly startles them just to get them to plop over? I wonder if the cats think someone is knocking them over when it happens? That's probably what my cats would think.
