Julia Child was a bit of a nut . I used to watch her cooking show years ago and she liked knocking off wine while making her terrific dishes . I had both of the cook books The Art of French Cooking I an II . Great recipes many of which I made when I was into cooking and I always followed her recipes to a tee once making her onion soup from a home made beef broth that was also a recipe from her book. The entire soup making took 2 days but the people I fed it to seemed to think it worthwhile. So did I . I also heard she was a spy during ww2. An odd looking spy to be sure but a spy none the less. allan
Thank you Alex and of course Spidey i have followed this site since its inception but only recently saw a few times I felt I would add something . Of course the site being named after my spelling of "broards" , well you get the idea. Have no fear tho , if I can kick the other site into gear I intend as has been the case to spend most of my time over there .
Of course Spidey , I find most people amuzing and/or interesting . But look, I don't want to start talking too much over here so lets just say if no one has a problem with me voicing an opinion from time to time here I will. If anyone does have a problem with it I wont . Thats all, no big deal. allan
PS: As you asked Emma I have left a belated birthday wish to Rosa on the other site .
