I was watching a little bit of the ABC Inaugural parties last night and saw Michelle and Barack dancing. He's a handsome man but boy is he skinny! Someone give him a sandwich!
Note to programmers: A classic song is great when one singer sings it, when you have twenty "stars" singing it---it's a muddled mess!
The stars were Faith Hill, Ole Mariah Carey, Sting (again with him!), Will.I.Am, That chick who sings "falling"--I can't remember her name, Stevie Wonder and a few others. Who thought that would sound good?

shakira sang a song that was an odd song for her to sing. it didn't sound good to me and she seemed to struggle through the entire song.
barack is skinny, but i believe he works out every day, so he is probably more lean than skinny.
Aretha sounded 4o years past her prime. What did she have, two or three great years? Her version of My Country, Tis of Thee started poorly and decended to terrible. Within a few bars. Mostly I am commenting because of the word verification: "swoonser".

we watched the speech at school and michelle's gold dress looked baby-poop green on our class TV and the people all looked neon orange. when i got home i saw it in better color and was then able to say "oh, her dress looks good." i had doubts before.
i felt bad for those kids outside all week in the cold in dresses without heavy coats, gloves, hats, scarves etc. my kids would have been dressed for warmth. i'm tired of hearing "they're from chicago, they're used to cold." freezing is freeing, no matter where you're from and sitting around for hours in it for days on end isn't a great idea.
h.w.buch looked like he's on his last hip and babs is getting rather large. the carters look good for their ages.
laura looked so happy to be getting out of dodge. she'll never have to be on TV and smile next to her spouse again unless she wants to.
i'm glad michelle wears colors, because hillary and laura were both neutral wearing women. but michelle could put some pants on and not be linked to hillary's aggressive personality/style.
i also noted that a lot of the first lady and VP's wives wardrobe looks like retro jackie-o but without the hats.
men are so lucky, they just need a white shirt and red or blue tie with a black suit and that's it. they could wear the same suit 100 times in a row and no one would notice, as long as it was clean and pressed.
