Octuplets

Or however you spell that word. Some woman had eight babies. EIGHT! All at once! Ridiculous. And I suppose she'll want a TLC show like that obxious Jon & Kate. These people go on and on about how hard it is having eight kids. YOU HAD EIGHT KIDS, you dingbats!! They get to go to Disney World and Hawaii and get to renovate their home so stop complaining about how tired you are when you're the ones how had fertility drugs and bred like cats. If a couple have been trying to get pregnant and can't, and want to use fertility drugs instead of adopt--sure, go right ahead, but don't expect a damned tv show detailing every wretched moment of your child rearing woes.
People who have more kids than they can afford should shut the hell up about it and no television station should give them a television show.
Kate Gosselin makes my skin crawl. I've been seeing tv ads about a home show in Indy where she's a guest speaker. Go home Kate. Yuck.
This is coming from a women who was one of seven (not all at once, mind you).

I agree completely. I don't get why our media canonizes these people who take fertility drugs and then proceed with highly risky pregnancies.

And I don't think I'd like to be one of the eight. Babies need individual attention.

my friend watched this show and so i've seen a it a few times. she gets everything for free (clothing, diapers, toys, vacations etc) and has friend who come over and take the kids off her hands. i don't see how it's a large strain. a woman near me had babies a few weeks back. she didn't take one fertility drug. the doctors told her she was having 3 and 6 came out. i think 6 all natural is a biger deal, since it's so rare. however, her family is black, so the nation al media wouldn't care. And I agree Verb, I wouldn't want to be one of in a straight shot.

Dennis said she'd had a litter and I quite agree. Having had trouble having ONE, without drugs, I can't imagine having this many. And no, the parents shouldn't have everything supplied.

Here's the juicy gossip making the rounds:

The Octuplet Lady already had 6 kids. Her neighbors say she doesn't work and is a terrible mother, judging by the lack of supervision they see of the first six, ages 1 to 9. There is no husband. All her kids are the result of in vitro, with the same sperm donor (if true, what's HIS problem?!).

She's on welfare. She used student loan money to pay for the in vitro used for the Eight. She was born at Kaiser Hospital in Bellflower. But she's not a Kaiser group health member. She went into their emergency room and it was too late to pack her off to the County Hospital. Not that it matters, at either hospital Medi-Cal would be paying for everything, it's just that Kaiser is a way nicer hospital. She allegedly told friends that six kids wasn't enough, because she was an only child and has always longed to be part of a big family. I think having 14 fatherless kids pretty much fulfills that wish.

As I said, it's just gossip right now...
