i shared my garden pics with nary a comment. (this is a hint to go look at my pictures) tell me how wonderful they are. even if you don't think so.
me... a staycation. but then i have an empty nest now and can run around buck naked if i want. and if i want to take the chance of drawing attention from bigjoe. if i am so inclined. the other part of the vacation will most likely involve eating and drinking. so why do i need to go anywhere?
i will lay about and read and lay in the sun and drink iced tea and relax. how about you?

my summer has been slow and hot. today i took the baby on a nature walk through the women's orthodox jewish cemetary that my house is surrounded by. We saw deer, bunnies, gophers, birds, cats and dogs. We alos noticed that someone had spray painted a swastica on the sidewalk in front of the stone of a holocaust survivor. I took a moment to lament idiots.

My vacation does not start until September 14th - then bar the door!
Hm, well I have been working and doing stuff around the house, plants are coming along nicely. BF and I are going on a road/camping trip next week. We leave Wednesday evening, stay at my mom's that evening, leave there early Thursday and camp that night close to Paso Robles. Then into San Jose the following day to stay at a hotel and go to the Winchester Myster House (here's a link for those who don't know about it:http://www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/), then up to Big Sur to camp again for two days. My friend is house sitting for us since it's so hot, we want someone there. Then I am going to NYC for Labor Day weekend, my best friend Joyce is meeting me there and we will have a long weekend to run around Manhattan, out to Long Island to visit her friend, maybe see a show...
Oh, and I am seeing Spamalot on Saturday, think that's it!
I'm under the weather with some "female" problems (hope that doesn't trigger any trouble with the blogger people), waiting for a drs appt on Monday. Also, changing insurance company and have been on the phone for a long, long time. That's as exciting as it gets right now from here.
