I just read the whole story on MSNBC. This guy is a scum. He says that his mistress is his "soul mate" and yet he wants to reconcile with his wife. The nerve. Why would his wife want him back? To be second best? I'd tell him to go to Hell.
No woman deserves a man who has to "try" to fall in love with her.
We deserve to be loved passionately and unreservedly, and that's all we should settle for.
i hope his wife takes him for EVERYTHING, but she's the pearl wearing politician's wife type, so she'll probably take him back. She looks like the type that's mad he got caught, not mad at the cheating. thank god we all know what a dumbass he is and he's created his own warning label for all future women in his life. once a cheater, always a cheater after all.

Does he not know when to keep his mouth shut? I will have to disagree with you, Jilly. I don't think she is the pearl wearing type at all- she is tough woman executive type- she was not there standing by her man when he barfed all this out in his press conference. While things were kept private, I believe that she was willing to try to work things out; they do have four young boys. But there is only so much public humiliation she is going to be willing to take, and I think he has pretty much dug his own hole. I think he should resign. While the fact of infidelity may not make you unsuitable for the job, the fact that dealing with the fallout consumes so much of your time seems to me to be reason enough to expect the person to step down. Someone recently said (and I wish I could remember) that when Clinton was going through his Monica machinations, there wasn't an hour that went by that Clinton didn't reference it and think about it. That's too much energy directed away from where your job focus should be.
I'm happy that the current crisis is NOT in Louisiana; although I'm sure that a Louisiana connection will be dug up soon enough.
