There is a "beauty queen" on The Amazing Race and she's awful---whiny, demanding and over-the-top--blaming her husband-team member for everything.
I can't think of a beauty queen that I've ever liked. Remember Annts?--She loved pageants and beauty queens.

emma, i've never met a nice one or one that lived in reality, but i haven't met them all, so i'm sure there has to be at least one decent person who is a beauty queen. maybe they have rehab for people like that? when they're done the lifestyle, rehabs makes them normal?

Lee Meriwether?
I liked Miss Carlisle, but I'm much more of a Brett Sommers kind of gal. I mean, I'm not like her, but I like her. What a broard.
Speaking of Lee Meriwether, my 20 year old son met her last year. She helps out with the drama department at San Francisco City College. He roomed with two SFSU fellow students and one SFCC student, who was in the drama dept. She was in a play with Ms. Meriwether and she took her roomies backstage to meet Ms. Meriwether, whom my son reports is still quite a pistol, despite being in her 70s. According to the SFCC, Ms. Meriwether loves hanging out with the college kids. So there are at least four votes that I know of in favor of one beauty queen.
I think the modern beauty queens all seem to be loony. Vanessa Williams seems okay.
