Potluck Ideas
We're having a pot luck at work on Tuesday and I pulled "Main Dish" but can't think of what to bring. It's a hard category cuz it kinda has to be something that is good at room temperature.
main dishes can be anything from meat to macaroni & cheese, or rice w/ veg & meat. Macaroni & cheese can be served room temp. I vote for that---use a combo of guyere and cheddar and parm . . .put in some fresh thyme and parsley and a little nutmeg
Thanks!! Crock pots are allowed, I just didn't have one handy but decided to buy one. All great ideas and I contemplated every one of them over and over and over -- hardest damn decision I think I've made in years.
I had decided to go with the honey-baked ham but found out someone else was bringing one so I went with the ziti.
Next time I think I'm doing the mac and cheese -- I pulled "main course" for the holiday potluck as well -- didn't actually pull it but traded with one of my staff who was whining about not wanting to do a main dish.

no crock pot allowed? some pulled pork for sandwiches would be great, but it would have to be hot.
Could you make a chicken enchilada casserole? How can you have a potluck with only cold things? That kind of relegates you to salads.

bring a bucket of fried chicken
ziti can be room temp too
Honeybaked Ham? They also have a smoked turkey breast that's good and you'd maybe have left-overs to take home.
