I haven't made new year resolutions in years but, I'm making one this year. I have friends that I've known for years who, based on depth of friendship, are more than acquaintances but who never contact me. I'm always the one to initiate contact to get together, etc., and while they're always happy and receptive, they never initiate.
So, my 2010 resolution is to stop contacting them. If they're interested in maintaining the friendship, they'll contact me. If they don't, then it's for the best.
Any of you making new year resolutions?

I've got to finish the work on the house I began 3 years ago. Never got around to the bathrooms or bedrooms, and they need work. So that's my resolution.
I'm trying an experiment in January. I'm going to eat vegan for the entire month, just to see what it's like.
I love meat and dairy, and detest cooked veggies, so this is going to be a challenge.
Even more challenging than that will be trying to read all the labels on all packaged goods so that I don't accidentally eat something with an animal product.
This is going to be really hard when I travel. I'll have to pack meals ahead of time, which I have rarely done in the past.
Jenny Robin, I'm going the opposite direction by cutting out all sugar and white flour for one month, eating only protein, veg, and fruits. It will be interesting to compare the two approaches. Please write about it.
Welcome to my world, Sonya. Be sure to eat plenty of fat--avocados and olive oil are my two faves (but butter is up there, too!)
Verb, you inspired me. I might need an occasional pep talk. :)
my resolution is to live each day to the fullest.
ok, I've got nothing to add, but when I opened this to look at comments, the WV was "refails."
Not very freaking encouraging, huh?!
My resolution is to eat better and exercise more in 2010; I would also like to read at least one of the large chunky series of books I own but have never read yet (I don't know which one, yet).
I've decided not to pursue my 'eating vegan' experiment in January. I'm not even prepared to begin this, and I really don't see how I can do it easily while traveling.
I may instead try a 'I'll drink only water' experiment. No tea, sodas, coffee, etc.
Or I may choose something else, or not anything at all...
