I am just crying like a baby. Those crowds on TV--black and white people crammed in together, jumping for joy; Jesse Jackson with tears on his face; the words of Dr. King's last speech--it's just too much. And the way the young people showed up to vote gives me such hope for the future.
the man inspires hope. something we haven't had in a very long time. he has brought people together. he is an intelligent thougtful human being who makes me proud again of my government.
Jilly... I am hoping that the calm and thoughtfulness that Mr Obama has shown so far will prevail. He does not strike me as a person prone to knee jerk responses.
I voted for him because of this and because he seems to listen to advice.
McCain's speech set a wonderful tone and I am so glad I stayed up for Obama's it was magnificent.
I am also glad that my co-workers will not be moving to Canada
have you ever felt such emotion and pride that comes from listening to this man? have you ever felt this glimmer of light and hope that has burst from a very tough time? i haven't and it gives me hope. john mccains speech was gracious and if he had conducted himself that way during the race, he may have not turned so many away. i didn't realize he could actually not be sarcastic and condescending.
i am thinking of the new first family moving into the white house and the history swirling around them. the house that was built by black slaves will now be home to a black family. lincolns ghost will be smiling.
oh sure. now elizabeth on the view is all accepting of obama. hmmm. a couple days ago she was trying to convince us all he is a terrorist. i still don't like her.
yes and it turned into tony blair so dont get too carried away cos all politicians are cunts at heart they dont get to the top of any heap without being devious manipulative liars
Spidey, Elizabeth Hasselbeck is an idiotic harpy who instead of eating crow, wants to play nicey nice with everyone now. It won't be a month until she goes off on something Obama will say, or who he'll select for his cabinet, etc.
