Does life seem kind of....empty, now?

The Onion tells you why.

I've sent that to three Obama fiends and they've loved it!

WASHINGTON (Nov. 7) - President-elect Obama called Nancy Reagan on Friday to apologize for joking that she held seances in the White House.
At a news conference in Chicago, Obama said he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepares to take office in January. Then he smiled and said, "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances."

I guess you can't even be funny anymore

Can't use hyperbole, either.

Look what Al Gore's offhand joke, "I invented the Internet," did to him.

Well, when McCain did his bomb bomb bomb beach boys impression, I reckon lots of you got your tails in the air over that. It all goes to my point of folks getting all pissy and feeling victimized over offhand comments, give me a break- yes yes I can hear your rationalizations now for why you were right to get all het up- save it. I can recognize humor when I see it and I can recognize gross partisanship when I see it too. We don't allow our politicians a sense of humor- Bush's smile is always seen as a smirk, we don't allow the candidates or their wives any leeway in how they dress (can you even believe this crap???), either it's too much or ugly or paid for by someone else. This sort of nonsense sucks the air out of really important stuff. If you are still talking about Palin, it's because you don't want to talk about Obama, etc. Let's move forward like the BIG O says. Follow your leader! (gosh I love to be contrary!)

**It can be ugly, but when it's paid for big Big Money Contributors or average Joe the Donor--it's fair game.

***Hello? It's the Republican insiders who raised the stink about Palin the Diva, the Palin the Rogue. Republican insiders want to derail any talk of Palin in 2012.

I didn't read about McCain's Bomb bomb bomb remark but the Obama Nancy Reagan seance thing was harmless and funny and too bad that she's 105----she's not a National Treasure and can afford to laugh at herself from 20 years ago.

As for Bush's smile being a smirk . . it IS a smirk. Tell me one INTENTIONALLY funny thing that he's said over the last eight years and I'll laugh right along with you---not that "Our children is educated" or "I'm the Decider" as I do not think he meant those statements to be funny
