I don't get all this buzz and excitement about this movie Twilight. What the heck is it all about?

Unconsummated vampire/teenager love. Not my cup of tea.

not mine either. and the movie didn't get very good reviews as well... I never was a big fan of vampires... there is a whole bus of middleschool kids going to the movie after school today though.

Would consumated vampire/teenager love be such a terrible thing?

I would root for consummation rather than not. Why tease the kids and the "Twi-Moms?" (They are actually called "Twi-Moms." Gross.) I'll tell you why. It was written by a Mormon.

Speaking of Mormons . . .since pouring money into the California Prop 8 thing, they've gotten a lot of bad press (justifiably so) and Utah tourism ads are blanketing the airwaves...they don't want tourism to slack off. But really, marketing Utah to us Hoosiers in November??? jeez. I hope no one visits Utah for a long long time.

wait, people want to go to utah? wtf for?

We're selling the heck out of this product, so like it or not, it's really helping bookstores make some money.

We haven't had a super-hot holiday book or franchise in many many years, so this is great.

And then Beedle Bard comes out on Dec. 4 and will drive some sales as well.

Tasty tasty profit equals tasty tasty jobs to be had.
