zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Things are a bit quiet around here. Is everyone busy looking at their financial portfolio? My advice, don't look!!!!
I have been busy attending to spideydaughter. If you are bored, you could always go to my blog and take a look at her giagantnormous tonsils before they were removed. make sure you aren't eating before you look.
So what is new with you?

I am dealing with the fact that my CU is going to merge (really be absorbed) by another CU. Will I have a job? They say yes but who knows? And of course my relationship status is totally up in the air still. Whatever, everything will work out in the end :)

I'm watching our net work sink like a stone. Therefore, we're both practicing saying "Welcome to Wal-Mart"

I'm getting a tiny taste of post-retirement life because Dave took this week off and is following me around like a lost puppy.

Yesterday we had lunch with Bert, and I got the pleasure of watching the two of them giggle and smirk about whether Dave's tendonitis attack might have been caused by masturbation.

It was almost like teaching junior high again.

Lord, Jess-a week here or there is MUCH different from being home ALL THE FREAKING TIME! I love Dennis dearly, but I never realized how much he talked-constantly about nothing. I'm telling you, your reading time will be limited when Dave is home full time and you'll be hoping that his tendonitis IS caused by masturbation-if only so you can take a nap.

You ladies crack me up.

I've been up to a whole lot of working, which means, the same old thing for me.

Regarding financial stuff:

I just have to keep reminding myself that my number of shares of particular funds in my 401(k), Roth IRA, etc. are not decreasing. It's just the value that is decreasing. While it looks scary right now, I'm actually able to buy more shares at a cheaper price with my money, and then I'll just have that much more money when the market goes up at some point. I've actually increased my investing allocation in order to buy as much as I can right now.

It is a good think, I think, that I won't be retiring for another 30 years or so, so there is plenty of time left to rebound and fall and rebound several times.
